Movie Disappointment

I've never been a big fan of "chick flicks". I'm all about more blood, more guts, more gore, and more stuff blowing up. If there's the slightest chance that a movie will deliver seat-clinching, eye-covering, screaming excitement...I'm there. Often times the preview will drive up my enthusiasm, only for the movie to leave me highly disappointed.

The Strangers was not exception to the rule. After delaying the outing in an attempt to use my passes, I was able to get Mag and Jon to join me for the midnight show on Saturday night. Arriving at the theater just in time to catch the last preview, we were disappointed to learn that they were sold out. Our second attempt on Sunday night was a success, only to be be totally ticked the entire 1 hour 10 minutes of the movie.

(Spoilers)
It was the typical, white people making all the wrong moves and ending up dead at the end. The entire movie was based around a couple being stalked in their parents vacation home which was located in the woods. Someone bangs on the door and instead of calling the police, boyfriends leaves to go get cigarattes. While girlfriend is home alone, the banging commences, and instead of calling the police, she calls the boyfriend. He comes home, they get stalked, killers stab them at the end and leave. You never see their faces or find out the reasoning behind the crime...STUPID!

Needless to say, I will not be recommending it to anyone. I'm still optimistic about the summers other options-Wanted, The Incredible Hulk, and The Happening. Hopefully something will give me the excitement buzz that I so desperately seek.
