I'm now considered one of the highest educated people in the world...statistically speaking. 1 in 4 individuals hold a undergraduate degree and even fewer hold a graduate degree. But as I walked across the stage on Sunday with more than 200 other individuals, it was hard to imagine those statistics could be accurate. Regardless, it was reiterated over and over again that we are now part of the "elite". Personally, I'm just happy to have that portion of my life completed. The new question, as so eliquently put by the commencement speaker, "what's next?". I've decided to postpone my doctorate work in order to focus on other interests and to secure permanent employment.
October 24th is merely sixteen weeks away...but that doesn't guarantee me 16 weeks of work, its just the last possible day for my position. I've been doing good about apply and have had a couple of interviews but nothing has panned out. My hunt for a second part-time job has been no more successful than a new full-time.
I really need to get cracking on my business venture. This is a great opportunity to do what I enjoy and I need to stop allowing my fear to grip me.
