It's take me a few day (more than it should have) to determine what I will do for the month of January, in an effort to consecrate myself for the rest of the year. Last night, I finally concluded that I will do the following...
(1) Study the book of Jeremiah
(2) Read a Psalm and Proverb each day
(3) At least 1 hour of prayer/ devotion daily
(4) Weekly fast (Friday 12AM to 5PM)
(3) Eliminate television for the remainder of the month
(4) No dining out for the remainder of the month (includes lunch and/or snacks)
(5) No candy/ junk food (includes chips/ cakes/ cookies, etc)
(6) No unnecessary spending (clothes, food other than groceries, nick nacks, etc)
The things that I have before the Lord this month include:
(1) Direction in ministry
(2) Direction in business
(3) Companionship
(4) Financial advancement
Here's to getting 2008 off to a great start!

2007: Year In Review
I guess that I could look at last year in several different ways. As I write this, I really can't think of anything major to complain about. That in itself, is a blessing. As usual, God remained faithful during the year...and this is one of those times when I can say that He did so, especially at times, when I definitely did not reciprocate. I don't boast in my misdeeds but find comfort in knowing that with each new rising of the sun, I'm given another opportunity to get it right.
This year had some monumental moments. No, I didn't get married and I still haven't even met "him" but I trust that I will in due time. I did, however, cultivate a great, new friendship with a classmate, Mag. I also had the priviledge of being voted in as the Asst Treasurer for the IDC young people. The year also included a trip to Israel and Turkey. Needless to say, I gained a greater appreciation for international cuisine. :)
On a sad note, I lost my uncle (Arthur Lee) a few weeks before Thanksgiving but soon after I gained a brand new little cousin (thanks John & Jennifer). My cousin, Sharana, got engaged and her brother, DeJuan, got married. I took my first cruise and enjoyed it immensely.
I believe that I learned more about myself and what I desire to give and get out of my personal relationships. I also acknowledged a lot of the good and bad things about myself and I think that I'm coming to the realization that I have to allow people to accept me for me...the good and the bad...instead of trying to change to be what people think I should be.
I learned the importance of family and how to appreciate each day you have with the one's you care about. And to never neglect an opportunity to show someone that you care. I learned that you don't have to "make" a ton of money to live well.
I'm looking forward to 2008....BRING IT ON!
