"Dr. Wilkerson"?

I'm currently enrolled in the last course necessary to obtain my MBA. I must admit that although I don't outwardly show my enthusiasm, inwardly I'm beyond ecstatic. However, about a month ago, I woke up one morning with a bit of concern. With this last course ending on April 27th, whatever would I do with myself? I'm not accustomed too having a lot of free time and I'm not prepared to become a work-a-holic.

What to do? What to do?

While lying in bed that morning, I determined that now would be an opportune time for me to go ahead and commit to getting my Doctorate. After much research, I've decided on a school (was not difficult to do as there are only a few that offer D.B.A programs in Chicago), a program, and visted to ensure that it meets my needs. I can't believe it...DR. WILKERSON?!?!?!

It still sounds funny to hear. I guess this is what is meant by "going all the way" in terms of education. Last night, I finished the application process and now I just have to submit the application fee along with a transcript. I can start classes on May 5th, just one week after I complete my MBA. However, I'm debating on whether I'll wait one term (7.5 weeks) and use that time to study for my Series 4 & 53 licenses. I'd like to get those under my belt seeing as how our jobs may be eliminated far before October.

Speaking of work...I've been studying for the Series 66. This is by far the easiest license that I've ever had to get and for some reason, I just can't seem to get it together. I'm retaking on April 5th and I must pass this time. If I don't, I'll have to wait 6 months to retake. That's a no-no. I can't believe that I've passed every other exam on the first time around with no problems, but this one is giving me the flux. It's these different pieces of legislation that's confusing me. This weekend I'm going to sit down and type out my own notes to study from. That worked well for the Series 24. Let's pause for a moment of prayer...

Today, I found out that my birthday cruise to Mexico is sold out. So glad that we didn't wait to reserve. I already have my flight to LA and I'm going to go ahead and get the return flight this weekend. Also think that I'll break down and get my Emeril stainless steel pots this weekend. Ready to start cooking like the folks on FoodNetwork.
